It would be not wrong to say that the problem related to the Kashmir Valley is India’s Achilles Heel. In a recent turn of events, the valley continues to remain tense with communal riots on the festive occasion of Eid following close on the heels of five Indian soldiers getting killed along the Line of Control last week in an alleged ambush shooting. Tension aggravated, obviously, as a result. A protest against the incident by activists of the BJP and Bajrang Dal turned violent in Kishtwar town on Friday, and police had to use water cannons to bring the situation under control. However, the situation only turned more violent, taking a communal turn, in which two people died and curfew had to be imposed in the Valley. The clashes between two communities took place on Friday after Eid prayers when a group of people attacked another section of people raising pro-independence slogans in Kuleed area of Kishtwar, leading to the violence. Mobs torched more than 80 shops, a petrol pump, an oil tanker, and even police and fire service vehicles. These events of mass unrest are terrifying and disturbing at once, as they are a reminder of the peak-terrorism days in Kashmir.
Ganesha had predicted back in February after Afzal Guru was hanged, that tension would keep simmering in the Valley throughout the year $/A_YEAR_OF_TURMOIL_FOR_KASHMIR_POST_AFZAL_GURU_HANGING.action. The current situation only confirms that, and Ganesha feels the situation may continue to remain tense during the whole year. What else may happen? Can we expect a respite soon? Read on to know.
Astrological Observations
Astrologically, the Sign of Libra has been assigned to the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. Ever since Rahu joined the transiting Saturn in Libra on 23rd December, 2012, the Kashmir valley has been in news for all the wrong reasons.
The effects of eclipses too have been very significant on Kashmir region. Eclipses in April and May 2013 fell over the Sign of Libra. The effect of the April and May Eclipses will be felt for 6 months. Saturn will be in exact conjunction with Rahu on the 17th September 2013 and the debilitated Mars will be aspecting the Saturn-Rahu conjunction. It is also to be noted that Saturn will be aspecting the debilitated Mars. It is really an ominous sign for the Kashmir region. Adding to this, there will be another round of eclipse on 18 / 19 October 2013 (lunar eclipse in Aries) and 3rd Nov. 2013, again in Libra sign and Swati Nakshatra. So, Kashmir situation looks set to remain very critical, stressful and sensitive throughout the year 2013.
In the Pisces, the New Moon chart of year 2013, the Ascendant Lord Sun is placed with Moon, Mars, Venus and Mercury in the 8th House of adversities and mass destructions. Adding to this, the retrograde Saturn is placed with Rahu in the 3rd House and Mars is aspecting it. It indicates heightened crisis in the border states, frequent clashes with the neighboring countries, agitations and disruptions. Pakistan will continue to force the infiltration into the Kashmir valley to disrupt the peace and harmony of Kashmir and India. India-Pakistan tension on the Kashmir issue may crop up every now and then, during year 2013. There will be no respite for the Kashmir region in the year 2013. Chinese aggression against India in Kashmir region may also cause serious concerns for country’s internal security. Jammu and Kashmir and the neighboring states are also prone to natural calamities.
