• Shani’s Tantrakta Mantra Om Pram Prim Praunsa: Shanyi Namah or Om Shanaishcharaya Namah: One, five or eleven rounds of the mantra must be recited. Many experts recommend chanting Shani mantras outside the temple or at home.

Take Ten Names of Shani Everyday

Taking ten names of Shani every day is all the wishes are fulfilled. It can be chanted as a verse. If you cannot do this, be sure to pronounce Om and Namah: with every name.

Example: Om Konastha Namah:

The pink beaver in the corner is the black and the terrible Yama.

Sauri and Saturn are slow and are praised by the fig tree.

The Birth Story of Shani Dev

According to Kashikhand of Skanda Purana, Shani Dev is the son of Lord Surya. According to the legend, Surya was married to Prajapati’s daughter Sangya. Sangya was very fond of her husband and due to ignorance always tried to reduce his effulgence i.e. fire. With the passage of time, the noun was blessed with three children. Whom we know as Vaivasvata Manu, Yamraj and Yamuna. In spite of all this, there was a strong desire in the mind of the noun to reduce the fire of the sun.One day he did penance and decided to reduce the fire of Sun God. In front of him was the question of wife, religion and the upbringing of children, so Sangya, through her tenacity, created a lookalike of hers, named Samvarna.

Mother Sangya handed over the responsibility of her children and Suryadev to her shadow and said that now in my place, you should follow women’s religion by serving the sun god and nurturing children, but this secret should remain between me and you only. After which Sangya reached her father’s house from there and told her the problem, but the father explained to her and asked her to go back to her husband. Sangya decided to go to the forest from there and do severe penance.Sangya took the form of a mare in the forest and started penance. At the same time, Suryadev did not have the slightest sense that the shadow was living with him, not a noun. Sanvarna became pregnant following her husband’s dharma and gave birth to three children Manu, Shanidev and Bhadra. Thus Shani Dev was born as the second child of Surya and Chhaya Samvarna.
