Saturn is a mighty planetary ruler, the slow moving planet God whose influence is undeniable as per Astrology. Vedic Astrology, specifically, lays strong emphasis on Saturn and its positioning in one’s Kundali, and thus its effects.
Saturn is not an out and out negative planet – but it is harsh, rude, slow and fair. Its work in one’s life, as per Vedic Astrology, is to re-create balance and discipline – and while doing that Saturn may augur hardships, struggles and problems, especially if it is ill-placed in a Horoscope or a person is going through a Saturn special period (Sade Sati, Panoti, Small Panoti – please read about them in detail in our article – Shani Jayanti)
In case of benefic or well-placed Saturn in a Horoscope, a person tends to become a great scholar with a good command over language. Saturn, when negative, is capable of turning gold into ashes, but when it is benevolent, it gives immense profit. The people whom Saturn favours have high possibilities of engaging into the trade related to machinery, furnace, leather, cement, wood, iron, oil, transport, astrology, rubber, etc.
However, if Saturn is malefic, the person has to face struggles in life. He may suffer from diseases, especially ones related to stomach, alimentary canal and digestive system. There are high chances that he may also lose wealth or fall prey to legal issues and imprisonment.
