March Festivals 2025
Festivals in March are the true epitome of celebrations of life, the win of good over evil, colours, and much more. We all relate the Month of March with the Hindu festival of Holi. Holi – the festival of colours, love and brotherhood, is also known as Holika or Holika Utsav in various parts of India. According to the Hindu calendar, Holi comes on the Phalguna Purnima (Full Moon), which falls in the months of February or March. It is celebrated with great fun and frolic across various regions of the country. Chaitra Navratri is a seasonal fest wherein Ghatasthapana Muhurta is given the utmost importance. It is mainly celebrated in the Northern parts of India. Cheti Chand is a festival that is well-known in the Sindhi community. It is the birthday celebration of Varun Dev (Water God) Sai Uderolal, famously known as Jhulelal. Gudi Padwa, the Marathi new year will also be there in March.
